Dumlupinar is located to the east of the Aegean Region, south of the province of Kutahya. It is at a distance of 80 km to the city center and 59 km to Usak, 59 km to Afyonkarahisar city center.
Afyonkarahisar-Usak-Izmir highway and Afyon-Usak-Izmir railway was established on a plateau. It is 1222 m high above the sea level. The surface area is 305 km square. The former name was Dondupinar. In Old Turkish, Dumlupınar name means Soğukpınar.
